Venue and date The 24th Politzer Society Meeting will be held in the Amsterdam RAI Congress and Exhibition Centre, located at Europaplein, 1078 GZ Amsterdam, The Netherlands.
Coffee and tea breaks During session breaks coffee and tea will be served free of charge to delegates wearing name badges. Dietary requirements Arrangements can be made for delegates with special dietary requirements. Please mark this on the registration form. Exhibition An exhibition will be held in conjunction with the meeting. The meeting programme will allow delegates ample opportunity to visit the exhibits. Companies wishing to participate should contact the Meeting Secretariat. Electricity supply Electricity in the Netherlands is supplied at 220V - 50Hz AC. Liability and Insurance In registering for the 24th Politzer Meeting delegates agree that neither the Organizing Committee nor the Meeting Organizers assume any liability whatsoever. Delegates are requested to make their own arrangements in respect of health and travel insurance. Language The official meeting language will be English. Simultaneous interpretation will not be provided. Lunch Lunch is included in the registration fee. Lunch can be obtained at the various catering points that will be provided in the lounges of the Congress Centre. Should you wish to have lunch outside the congress venue, there are a number of restaurants in the immediate vicinity. Programme changes The organizers cannot assume liability for any changes in the programme due to external or unforeseen circumstances. Registration hours The registration area in the Lounge Forum will be open during the following hours: Sunday, 31 August 14:00 – 17:30 hrs. Monday, 1 September 07:30 – 18:00 hrs. Tuesday, 2 September - Thursday, 4 September 07:30 – 16:00 hrs. Please note that the Opening Ceremony and the Welcome Reception will take place in the Lounges of the Forum Centre on Sunday 31 August between 17:30 and 20:30 hours. Travel and visa Admittance to the country is granted to all foreigners taking part in meetings organised in the Netherlands, regardless of their nationality. Delegates must, of course, meet the normal requirements, i.e. they must possess valid travel documents and sufficient means of support. Delegates requiring a visa for entry to the Netherlands are strongly advised to make their application in their home countries at least three months before the intended date of travel. Visa application procedures are easier when the acknowledgement of registration is included. By air Amsterdam Schiphol Airport: There is a direct railway connection between Amsterdam Airport and the Amsterdam RAI Congress Centre (10 minutes). By train Amsterdam RAI Railway Station: From this station it is a short walk (5 minutes) to the Congress Centre. You can also take tram 4; first stop in front of the Congress Centre. Central Railway Station: There is a direct connection to the Congress Centre by tram 4 or 51. Amstel Railway Station: The Congress Centre can be reached by bus no. 15, 69 or 169, or tram no. 51. There will be no shuttle service available between Schiphol Amsterdam International Airport, the Amsterdam RAI and the meeting hotels. By car Via Utrecht (A2): follow the signs RAI, the Congress Centre exit is the first one on the A10, directly after the A2-A10 intersection. Via The Hague (A4): follow the signs Amsterdam-Zuid/RAI signposted just before entering Amsterdam. Car parking Ample underground parking space is available at the Congress Centre. Delegates arriving by car are advised to use these facilities. A special multi-entry ticket including overnight parking for the whole period from 31 August to 4 September 2003 is available at a reduced rate. Please order this ticket in advance via the Registration Form. Letter of invitation The Meeting Secretariat will send you a letter of invitation upon request. It should be understood that this letter is only to help delegates to raise travel funds or to obtain a visa and is not a commitment on the part of the organisers to provide any financial support. Applications for a letter of invitation should be received by the Meeting Secretariat (Eurocongres Conference Management) before 1 July 2003. As the Dutch embassies in foreign countries only accept original letters, the Meeting Secretariat will NOT be able to send you a letter of invitation by fax or e-mail. Please take this into consideration. Applications received after 1 July 2003 will not be dealt with. Refunds cannot be made because visa applications are not granted. |
